Qi Gong is a system of body and mind cultivation developed in China, with roots going back thousands of years. It uses accessible sequences of simple movements to explore and refine principles of posture, movement, breathing and awareness. As a regular practice it helps improve health, fitness and inner calm.
These workshops will focus on the foundation of the practice, including basic ground rules of structure and movement. We will introduce two sequences of short exercises through which these principles can be applied and practiced:
- Ji Ben Qi Gong (Qi Gong Foundations)
- Wu Xing Qi Gong (Five Elements Qi Gong).
Accessible to all, the workshops do not require any particular level of strength, flexibility or prior knowledge. They are complementary but can be attended individually.
Andrea is a dedicated practitioner of Qi Gong, Tai Qi and Daoist Meditation, with over 25 years’ experience in bodymind practices. He is a certified Lotus Nei Gong instructor and continues developing his practice with internationally established teacher Damo Mitchell.
