Andrea’s Qi Gong classes offer a progressive introduction to this fascinating practice coming out of China – with benefits ranging from improved health and fitness to relaxation and inner calm. Qi Gong works on body and mind by mobilising, engaging and connecting the different systems of the body-mind, from bones and muscles, through soft tissues and energetics, to awareness and intention. We learn simple and flowing sequences of static and moving postures (Five Element Qi Gong, Ji Ben Qi Gong and Wu Dao Yins) and explore in a progressive way principles of body alignment, integrity of movement, freedom of breathing, softness and awareness.
